Behind the Canvas: A Day in My Life as an Artist

Being an artist is equal parts passion and chaos. My days are rarely the same, but they’re always filled with creativity, messiness, and plenty of coffee.
My mornings often start with a cup of coffee in hand as I check emails from clients, and scroll through Instagram and Pinterest for inspiration. Then it’s time to head to my studio space. The space isn’t pristine—there's gold leaf everywhere, half-finished sketches on the walls, and brushes in various stages of wear.
But it’s my haven.
I spend hours mixing paints, sketching ideas, and working on pieces. Some days are productive; others are a bit more challenging. But that’s the beauty of the process—it’s messy, imperfect, and entirely real.
In between painting, I take breaks to photograph my work for social media, brainstorm captions, pack orders for customers, stare at the wall, have a look in the fridge. By evening, you’ll either find me exhausted from a day of work, or totally wired and ready to start creating after a full day of procrastination!
It’s not always glamorous, but it’s always fulfilling. And through it all, I’m reminded of why I do what I do: to create art that makes people feel seen, loved, and celebrated.
